The Bay of Puck

The Bay of Puck  is separated from the open waters of the Baltic Sea by the Hel Peninsula.  Although it is a shallow bay with an average depth of around 3 metres, there are also deeper areas such as Kuźnicka Jama and Chałupska Jama, where the maximum depth reaches 55 metres.

The shallow and calm waters of the bay create ideal conditions for water sports. The waters of the Bay of Puck are one of the best locations in Poland and Europe for kitesurfing and windsurfing.

Another advantage of this body of water is how quickly it warms up during the summer season. It is not uncommon for the water temperature to exceed 25°C, while at the same time, the temperature of the open sea remains below 10°C.
